Hi everyone, welcome back to the show. Today we're diving into the real challenges of being a post Series A founder and more importantly, what you can do about those challenges.

To start, we want to acknowledge that you've done a lot.

Many of you have raised a million plus dollars in your first round. You have created a company and you have grown it. And from the outside, it looks like everything is moving in the right direction.

But inside, it feels like your bandwidth is shrinking by the day. And you're starting to realize that the more your company scales, the more decisions you have to make. In the early days when you first started, you were a small and scrappy team. Everyone wore multiple hats, decisions were made quickly, execution was messy, but it was fast, and you have visibility into everything. Now, it's completely different.

You're constantly hiring and trying to retain top talent. Operational complexity is increasing with every new system and process. Investors are watching closely. Revenue targets are heavier. And the number of daily fires are endless. Growth was supposed to give you relief, but instead it has added pressure. You're now quickly realizing more growth doesn't automatically mean less work for you. In fact, it usually means more...unless you scale your time with intention.

Some founders hit a wall due to the following mindset. They start to believe that the solution is just to delegate through hiring more executives or expanding their leadership team. And I would agree that is important, but it's not what's keeping you stuck at this stage. What's really eating up your time is a calendar that is packed with meetings that don't need your brain power. Travel coordination, inbox chaos, reschedules, and vendor follow-up. Team logistics that could be handled by someone else and even personal life details like home repairs, school issues, insurance claims, and many more things that steal your focus when you least expect it.

Now, none of these things require all of your strategic brain power, but once they pile up, they become the biggest bottleneck between you and the work that actually grows your business. And this is the part that no one talks about. So what is the fix?

Well, in order to address this issue, you don't want to just hire another virtual assistant to take tasks off of your list. At this stage, you really want to start to dive into building the right support system, one that's designed to protect your time, your energy, and your ability to lead. So it will require intentionality. I'm talking about bringing on a trusted executive assistant and lifestyle manager who becomes an extension of you.

Someone who doesn't just do, but they think ahead. And here's what this could look like in real life. This person wouldn't wait for instructions. They would instead anticipate your needs. They would create systems that stop chaos before it starts. They would manage logistics, both business and personal, that would free up your mental space. They can act as a filter for your time, energy, and priorities. And they connect the dots across your calendar, team, and personal life, keeping you in your zone of genius. This isn't just about checking boxes. It's a strategic partnership, one that creates space for visionary growth. So here's the bottom line. The next level of growth isn't just about more capital, more hires or bigger goals. It's about protecting the leader behind it all, you. And that starts with getting intentional about your time, your mental energy, and who's supporting you behind the scenes. So if you're starting to feel the squeeze, even when everything looks like it's going well, you're not alone. But you can change the way you scale. All it takes is the right support.
